General Hospital spoilers reveal it’s been quite some time since Maxie Jones was last seen in Port Charles — but that’s about to change. Her portrayer, Kirsten Storms, has confirmed she’s back on set, signalling that Maxie’s return to the canvas is fast approaching.

Storms shared the update via Instagram late on Wednesday, January 21, posting a mirror selfie with the caption: “Boom. 2026 already… that was fast. Back at work!”
She also added: “Really missing my BugBug though. California doesn’t feel right without her here. @generalhospitalabc #gh.”
Visible in the mirror were two inspirational notes — one reading “Throw kindness like confetti,” and the other stating “Be Brilliant.”
Since General Hospital films several weeks in advance, viewers can likely expect Maxie’s on-screen return toward the end of February or in early March. That said, if Storms had already begun filming prior to January 21, Maxie could reappear sooner than fans anticipate. For now, it’s a waiting game.
What’s Next for Maxie Jones?
Maxie was left in a coma back in August 2025 after being exposed to contaminated Deception cream during a Home & Heart segment promoting the brand. Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) appeared to be the mastermind behind the plot, leaving Maxie’s loved ones shaken by the ordeal.
Despite everything, there’s still hope she’ll make a full recovery. Complicating matters even further, Maxie’s presumed-dead husband Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) resurfaced shortly after her collapse.
However, many fans sense something isn’t quite right with Nathan — especially as he’s been growing increasingly close to Maxie’s best friend, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening).
When Maxie finally wakes up, will she be drawn back to Nathan, or does her heart still belong to Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson)?
