Emmerdale favourite Beth Cordingly has a well-known soap star boyfriend, who also has a history on the ITV soap.
On-screen, Emmerdale’s Ruby Miligan is remembered for her turbulent marriage to Caleb, but off-screen, Beth Cordingly has a high-profile long-term partner.
Beth made her debut on the ITV soap in 2024, arriving in the Dales as Caleb Miligan’s (William Ash) estranged wife and quickly making her mark.
Later that year, Ruby was at the centre of a disturbing historic child abuse storyline involving her father, Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day). She eventually discovered that her daughter, Steph (Georgia Jay), was Anthony’s biological child, though Caleb pledged to support his family through the ordeal.
Ruby also had a brief affair with her brother-in-law, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), but tensions within the family have since been resolved.

Away from the on-screen drama in the Dales, Emmerdale star Beth Cordingly enjoys a quieter life with her long-term partner Ian Kelsey, who also has a history on the soap.
Fans will remember Ian as Dave Glover on Emmerdale from 1994 until the character’s death in 1997. He also appeared on Coronation Street as Vinny Ashford between 2016 and 2017.
Ian’s acting credits extend to numerous other shows, including Wuthering Heights, Innocent, The Suspect, Moving On, and Where the Heart Is.
Beth, 49, and Ian, 59, have reportedly known each other for more than 20 years and began their romantic relationship in 2021.

Speaking about her romance, Beth previously told The Mirror: “I am very much in love with Ian and incredibly happy. I think it really helps that he’s an actor too. He’s been absolutely wonderful.
“There’s always the aspect of being an actor, being away from home a lot, but he completely understands. He knows many of the crew and cast, so it’s lovely to be able to share what I’ve been doing, knowing he gets it.”
Beth often updates fans about her relationship with Ian on Instagram. In December 2025, she posted a sweet clip of herself singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to him after traveling for hours to celebrate his special day.

She captioned the post: “Travelled 5 hours to do this….(lucky him. So tuneful.) Happy birthday, gorgeous one. Woo hoo.”
In another post, Beth shared a natural photo of Ian with her followers, adding the caption: “Yep 🤍.”
Friends and fans quickly flooded the post with comments, with one writing, “You two are the cutest.”
Another exclaimed, “Cuteeeeeeee,” while a third added, “You make such a great couple.”
